What I’ve Been Up To – The LGBTQ Center of the Warwick Valley
You may have noticed a lack of blogging over these past few months. For this, I apologize.
I’ve been working at Media Solstice Marketing & Public Relations, and it’s been great! I’ve also started a new project, putting Ten With Tom on hold for a while.
After a conversation with some friends in February, I decided to found The LGBTQ Center of the Warwick Valley. Organizing the Center, maintaining its Facebook page, and developing gaywarwick.com have occupied much of my free time.
My goal with the Center is to build community among the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people of Warwick, NY (my hometown) and their allies. So far, it’s going really well! I’m working on a Huff Post article about my experiences so far, more on that soon.

Blackbear – All My Lovin’
I stumbled across Blackbear on Spotify the other day, and couldn’t quite figure out just why I’ve really been digging his hip-hoppy, r&b-ish, rock-electronic sound. Then I found out he co-wrote Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend, my favorite guilty pleasure, and it all made sense. Here’s “All My Lovin’,” off of his mixtape Sex.

Bastille – Pompeii
So I stumbled across Bastille on the Hype Machine today. Here’s their latest, “Pompeii,” but I’d recommend checking out the jammies they have on Spotify as well. Specifically, the Lunice remix of “Bad Blood” (posted below for your listening convenience).

Elsa & the awesomeAWESOMES Hangout Interview
So, Sam Sveen and I met in a literary theory class my freshman year at Cornell. He’s awesome and his band, Elsa and the awesomeAWESOMES are, well, awesome.
